focus freedive

Focus Freedive is a San Diego-based freediving and spearfishing school and community founded in 2020 by Freediving Instructors International instructor trainer Brandon Zeek. The company teaches multi-level freediving certification courses, runs events and trips, and heads a community of freedivers and spearfishers centered on the principals of safe diving and ocean conservation. It needed a website that could do the work of a front desk: sell and schedule classes, serve members and non-members differently, and keep a busy calendar current.

Ramble Design created a unique concept and built a membership site where what you see depends on who you are. Multiple login setups give different memership levels access to different pages, including a members-only calendar. Around it sits e-commerce with Printify integration, a blog, private booking and scheduling, a calendar that syncs with Google Calendar, multiple forms, newsletters and a mobile app.

The goal was to make all that complexity feel simple. Whether a visitor is a new diver searching for classes and basic information, or a seasoned veteran looking for advice on gear or hoping to link up with dive buddies, this site and its supporting mobile app make their experience easy and seamless.

Ramble Design also created automated emails to be sent out after every purchase, including a detailed informational newsletter for new members. We also design custom newsletters that go out a few times each quarter that keep the community involved and updated on events, classes, and competitions.
